Combining digital stories with the promotion of tourism in a region was the challenge presented to Media Shots by Turismo de Portugal. Students from the Tourism Management Course in Caldas da Rainha produced short films about lesser-known tourist aspects of the West of Portugal, featuring people from the region, who thus become “ambassadors” for their land to those from outside. This pilot project was then disseminated to the Hotel and Tourism Schools in Algarve, Estoril, Lisbon, Coimbra, Lamego, and Porto.
